If I didn't have a rack or trailer I would wrap it up and put it inside over put it on top personally.
Frasier Fir is what we always get. I've put dozens of 8-10 foot frasier furs on top of dozens of vehicles...including the Jeep...and have never one time marred, scratched, scuffed, or even dirtied the Jeep. And this is someone who used to detail cars for a living, and still today washes his cars 2-3 times a week, quick details them every night when they're clean...if there was one mark on my vehicle I would know.

You'd rather put a sappy, needle covered smelly tree INSIDE your leather lined Jeep than on the roof on top of a fluffy blanket?!?! The paint can be cleaned and buffed...the inside can actually be ruined by a tree.

Whatever LOL Its just a car, if you're afraid to use it for what it was intended to be used for...why buy one?

I won't be putting it inside or on top as I will use my hitch rack(like I pictured earlier in the thread) or a trailer over that. To each his own, I still won't put it on my paint, case closed. Not to mention the glass roof.. If I had cross bars then I would possibly put it on those but so much easier using a hitch rack. I put a hitch on my jeep just a month ago for this reason and the fact I got rid of my truck. Gonna need to use a trailer or rack for the big things as I have 3 car seats in the back seat which I won't be removing to haul stuff lol..
