Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

Is the Power Sunroof included in the base package (as described in the text), or is it a $995 option (as described in the standard features vs. options list) ?

Does the MSRP include the $995 Destination Charge or not ?

Thanks,

--AGLAT

it looks like dual exhaust in the photos...on the cherokee, too. our laredo 3.6 doesn't have dual exhaust. hmm.

The just-released dealer order guide does not show the rear camera or ParkSense as being available for the Altitude package.

Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

Allpar.com is stating Parksense is also available this is from their website:

"
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude is based on the Laredo, with a V6 and either rear or all wheel drive. Design cues include gloss black bezel inserts for the front grille, fog lamp bezels, lower front fascia applique, badging, rear step pad surround, and 20-inch five-spoke aluminum wheels. The headlamps have black bezels; tail lamps have grey satin gloss bezels; the grille has a platinum chrome texture; and the car adds bright dual exhaust tips, lower body-color fascias, wheel flares and side cladding, a body color antenna and an SRT-style roof rail.
The interior has black Capri leather seats with perforated suede inserts and black stitching, a leather wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, 8.4-inch Uconnect touch screen, and power sunroof. The Security and Convenience Group is standard, with remote start, auto-dimming rear view mirror, security alarm, 115 volt outlet, universal garage door opener, cargo cover, heated front seats, heated steering wheel, power liftgate, back-up camera, and rear back-up sensors. It is available in billet silver, white, black metallic, Deep Cherry, Granite Crystal, and Maximum Steel. The U.S. MSRP for the 2014 Grand Cherokee is $35,290 for 4×2 models and $37,290 for 4×4 (plus $995 destination)."

In the pics you can't see the back-up sensors or the camera, so Milous has to be right unless they are throwing this in without him knowing it, but I highly doubt that.

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

I think since Chrysler LLC put in their press release that the 2014 Grand Cherokee Altitude has backup camera and sensors they should honor that and include those items!

Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

The backup camera is a critical feature that should, at a MINIMUM, be a standard part of the Connectivity and Convenience package.

If I buy one of these, I'll need to rip apart the interior to run the wires so I can install my own backup camera. I am not going to move up to a Limited model because it is out of my price range.

If anyone at Chrysler / Jeep is reading this --PLEASE cut this very simple Engineering Change into production for the Altitude Edition !!

I personally wouldn't go without the backup camera. It's such a great safety feature!

I am very frequently in areas where animals and kids can sneak behind a vehicle without you seeing them.

The park sense thing I don't give a crap because I'm the greatest driver in the world and I don't need it!

The ommision of the back up camera on lower models surprises me too, we haven't and like it in our Laredo x. I don't want to have to spend so much to get it in a 14.
