No, but what you can do is send me your VIN as soon as it hits paint status (F-Status) and if I work that day, I can do what I do for everyone else, send you updates on what's going on with your Jeep inside the plant.

Hmm...I thought there was some kind of legislation back in 2011 that mandated or at least "strongly encouraged" inclusion of back-up cameras on vehicles for safety. They are quite common on even lower end cars at this point...and not expensive to include, even if there isn't a "big screen". Subaru has the image appear in the rear-view mirror on cars that don't have the big screen radios/NAV, for example.

The date for that requirement got pushed into the future further.

We won't either. We have a 2013 SRX and a 2014 JGC and we would not have purchased either without one.

It doesn't bother me. Retrofit should be fairly easy and cheap.

I got my VIN with the VOTS order entry acknowledgement.

I'm just waiting to get out of D1 and into Paint so I can get Marlon's eyes on my Jeep!

Re: Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokee & Wrangler Altitude editions revealed

Surprised the passenger seat is manual vs power. Don't like being "required" to spend $800 bucks on the hole in the roof. Would rather spend that on the tow pac. Echoing everyone else "no BUC, wth!"

Like Scott said purchasing an E pac with the 18" & 8.4 and adding some appearance items would be an option depending on what you want. The only real difficulty is adding the heated seats and steering wheel. Lots of leather seat sets can be found at salvage yards around the US, plus you'd get a power passenger seat. If you like the 20's it probably would be worth getting the Altitude. Those and the rubber have got to be $$$$ ++ via aftermarket.

Invoice difference between the Laredo E with the 18" / 8.4 and the Altitude = $2492, including the roof on the Alt. i.e ($36,825 - $34,333) Feel free to correct my math but the Alt seems to be a good value if strictly looking for appearance. IF you were not required to add the roof, $1,692 over the E with 18" would be a bargain IMHO. If your are financing, the cost of ownership between the two really is trivial relative to payment

Id sell the black 20's and buy silver ones. Sell the suede seats and buy limited, overland or summit leather seats, mod it with the back up camera, debadge it and call it a Limatude
