Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum. I'm really liking the look of the Jeep Grand Cherokee HA and am looking to lease one very soon. Is anyone on here leasing one? This would be my first jeep and I would appreciate any advice or maybe what kind of deal I should expect. I'm located in nj if that helps. Thanks in advance!

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

OP, I leased my 2015 Summit w/ the HEMI in August. While not the HA trim, I believe the the residuals and m.f. are the same. Through Ally, my monthly payment is $590. I had no security deposit or acquisition fee. I rolled the first month payment into the lease capital. Also I live in a tax free state.

At the time Chrysler Financial was offering a lease with a m.f. of 0% except with a lower residual. If I was going to keep the Jeep beyond the lease term this would've been the best option (even with a higher monthly payment). The key is to research and know all of the available incentives, MSRP and Invoice and lease rates. Ally and Chrysler and the main financial companies used by the dealers.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

There are good deals out there right now, I got close to $9k off the $54175 msrp with jeep lease incentives, conquest money and the dealer being motivated because it was the end of the month. Had them roll all taxes and fees into payment on a 12/36 lease

That seems like. Great deal, how much did you have to put down if you don't mind me asking? And what is the lease term mileage?

Traded in the wife's eclipse and my GMC Sierra. Put 2500 down from the eclipse. There were also other incentives. I think I had close to 7200 in incentives and down payment. 3 year 10k miles.

I think I should clarify. Haider has an Altitude and not a High Altitude.
There is a pretty decent difference in price between the two and that's why he has a lower monthly.

Zero. Always Zero Down for a lease. Any up-front payment doesn't change the actual cost of the lease and it's money out of your bank account where at least it can earn a few pennies...very few...but more than it would if you give it to the leasing company "in advance".

Sound advice here. Never put cash down on a lease. There's one exception, some leasing companies support multiple security deposits to lower the m.f. The deposits would be refunded upon lease maturity. Otherwise hold onto to your capital.

If trading-in a car, treat it as a separate transaction and ask for a check back.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee HA Lease?

I wish I understood the pros and cons of leasing more. I have always purchased my vehicles, but I have a hard time grasping how spending 600-700 hundred a month for 3 years then having to return the vehicle can be beneficial. I'm not knocking leasing, but just trying to understand it better.
It would seem that to me you could purchase the vehicle, and even with no money down, if you spent that much money each month that you would be gaining equity and have a decent amount of it when time to sell. For example, $650x36 is $23,400. Even with depreciation surely over 20 grand would get you some pretty nice equity when it comes time to sell. In a lease wouldn't that be money you will essentially never see again?
