Regardless, it could be argued that overloading it by 110 pounds falls within the realm of foreseeable misuse by a consumer and such a variance should be accounted for in vehicle development."

Exactly my point! Whoever speaks of science in absolut terms only shows their ignorance of the scientific method.

From CR -- some additional info. It seems that both the German magazine and the Swede magazine utilized the exact same vehicle for their tests as provided by Jeep.

I can see already people speculating on what Jeep did to the vehicle between tests. On the other hand, I wonder if people will continue to suggest the Jeep was rigged by the Swedes.
