I was doing about 45 mph, he ran out in front of me, I hit the brakes (could not swerve because of traffic coming the other direction) but it was too late... THUD THUD...end of squirrel.

I did have some heavy Christmas gifts in the back causing a huge shift in weight under braking.

you should notify Consumer Reports. I'm sure a Toyota would've been able to stop in time.
The NTSB will also want to issue a global recall on the WK2.

I just read some Swedish guys did the same test. They blew a tire but the squirrel is still alive... :slapfight:
