Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat...

In Australia they would be over 100 grand as the SRT now is almost 90 Grand with importing and the LUXURY tax slug we get hit with.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat...

I would like to see the torque curve. 700 horsepower at 6,000 RPM is not very interesting to me. It would be awesome if it had a couple hundred horsepower at 1,800 RPM.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Hellcat...

I don't think that they are going to be coming out with another SRT labeled GC. I saw that Fiat pulled the SRT for the GC and will only be on the Viper, Challenger, and I think the Charger. Doesn't mean that they won't make a Hellcat GC though.

IMO that's a lot of money for a big heavy car and for a car in this segment just because it has some HP behind it. For that money, you could be in a used GTR or ZR1. My C6Z makes near 600 RWHP (over 700hp at the motor) naturally aspirated and I'm selling it right now for less then that.

IMO a mustang (GT500), challenger, camaro or whatever other car in that class is not worth 60k+ (Base price, mind you)

To each their own though, everyone's different and I'm sure people will buy them. I'm not saying I don't think it's a cool car, just to much $$ for what it is IMO.

Now a used one that has taken a 40-50% hit in value after a couple years of ownership might be a different story..

IMO Dodge nailed it with the Hellcat. I have never been a fan of the challenger, but i do like this updated version for 2015. For $60k you get a brand new 10 second 1/4 mile car with a factory warranty. I would be happy with the SRT 392 that will be in the mid 40's.

Just wonder if it'll be able to turn to save it's life. You can only do so much to hide the weight of this thing.

Again though, that's 61k base price. Who knows what options will be. Also, dealers are going to rape people with mark ups at least for a little while. Some dealers are still charging big mark ups on GT500's even.

I just did the SRT track experience. The current challenger handles well surprisingly. The vehicle is not as much of a boat that I was expecting.

The new versions updated suspension should make it even better.
