Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

For someone who has all but written off Jeep (because mine is JUNK) - this is actually tempting. I like the look a LOT.

Just because TireRack doesn't stock a tire doesn't mean the tire does not exist. This tire is listed on Goodyear website. A good development!

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I always thought Jeep should have kept the TrailHawk for the Grand and now that they are bringing them back I think it has my interest.

With that said overall it isn't terrible. Glad to see they are trying.

They didn't end it as an option - the 2013 was sold as a limited edition. They only made 2,000 total. I love my modified 2013 Trailhawk and the wife will probably end up with a 2017 Trailhawk so we can start the mods all over again.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

The fundamental difference this time is that the MY17 TrailHawk is a separate trim level for the JGC, rather than a "special edition" package added to another trim level. In a sense, that gives them a little more flexibility to make it special and equip it in unique ways without having to adhere to the constraints of another trim level. In a sense, they are recognizing that there is a subset of buyers who have more of a focus on this type of JGC construction that just isn't covered by dolling up a Laredo E, Limited or Overland.

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

Some details from the aussie press:
Quote:
An electronic limited-slip rear differential, modified air suspension with extended travel, up to 270mm of ground clearance and a tweaked 4WD system are all included in the Trailhawk package.

The exterior also boasts 18-inch wheels wearing all-terrain tyres and a removable front bumper section, while Trailhawk signage completes the exterior look.

Inside, the new Trailhawk adds a combination of dark grey and piano-black highlights, leather and suede seats with red stitching and an ungraded infotainment system designed to display an array of off-roading information (such as suspension height).
So they say the rims are 18s, and in some pics they do look like 18s. The increased QL range is interesting, wonder if it still clunks around....

EDIT- sorry, looking at the pic more closely I see that they are indeed 20's, however everything I've read about The Trailhawk says that it comes with 18's so who knows.

beware of this pre-release - in the '16 JGC brochure, the pic of the HA has black window trim as well.

where is the camera/sensor for ACC?

It looks like it has rock rails installed. Will these be a standard item for this model?

Re: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

I love almost everything about this, except that it took until the 2017 model year to reintroduce it. Less than a year after I ordered by Altitude, dammit Jeep. All that time/effort/money on wheels, tow hooks, grill inserts, etc. (nevermind not having a low range with 4wd, no engine options, or the other little convenience features the Altitude lacked)
