I took a drive to photograph Maroon Bells near Aspen, CO. The fall colors are at their peak in the area. I wanted to share some of the pics with fellow Jeepers!

This picture is of Maroon Bells. I arrived here at 1:30am, slept in the Jeep till 5:30am and went to the spot to set up my camera/tripod. There were 30 photographers already there. BTW, I am 5' 8" and sleeping in the Jeep w/ rear seats folded was comfy. Love the panoramic sunroof 'coz when you are sleeping, you can see the milky way from within the Jeep.

The peak in the background in the below picture is Mt. Elbert, highest peak in Colorado.

Cheers,
Aiyer

Aiyer-

That brings back a lot of fond memories. When I was a kid, our family went to Marble, CO for a summer vacation (early 1970s). Absolutely beautiful country.

Well done. The Jeep looks great.

Thanks----:):)

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Photography used to be my hobby back in the days of film camera. With the arrival of digital cameras, I had fallen back in my hobby until I purchased my DSLR last year.

a990dna,

Those are take offs from a 2012 JKU Rubicon. Bridgestone Dueler AT. They fit well and do well off-road (at least the kind I do) compared to the stock Latitudes.

I have a Nikon D7000 w/ 18-200mm lens. No filter used for these shots and no photoshop done either.
