Jeep Maximum Care help

So the factory warranty is up on my Grand Cherokee Limited in Jan '17 and I am considering getting the Jeep Maximum Care Plus plan. I plan on keeping my GC for many years

Is this the best plan, value wise? Prices seems to vary quite a bit, where is the best place to buy one of these extended service plans?

Thanks

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

Tons of discussion, and lots of threads about this. Here's a recent thread that will give you the lay of the land concerning service contracts. Ext warranty sales pitch

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

yep, tons of threads, and discussion. Unfortunately its pretty spread out, I couldn't find anything definitive that answers my questions.

Your link is interesting, but unfortunately does nothing to answer my questions.

Thanks anyway...

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

research the above but the overall argument starts with the cost side so go here and get your costs to take forward into your considerations...this is a Detroit area dealer and is within $100 of the absolute lowest price you can get for the legit FCA MVP plans....

Chrysler Extended Warranty | Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep extended maintenance plans

these are 2 others

Zeigler

Genuine Mopar Vehicle Protection Warranty - Save $$ Today

a WI dealer (the email link for a discount is good for another $1-200 max off)

Chrysler extended warranty, Mopar Vehicle Protection

good luck

fwiw, I have seen that the led ribbon inside the headlight is NOT covered under anything except original 3/36 bump-to-bump and the whole headlight has to be replaced, big $ and they seem to give a purple led (if at all) or two 36-50k....lovely....point being that there is no perfect answer.

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

IMHO, for someone planning to drive their JGC for many years and miles, the MaxCare extended service contract is very worthy of consideration and yes, you can shop around for best price. You do not need to wait until your OEM warranty expires, either...some MaxCare features, such as the rental/loaner provision begin immediately and are available for warranty service before the service contract becomes a factor. Mine is the MaxCare Lifetime; both because of mileage and my anticipated need to stay in this vehicle until my younger completes college over...the next five years.

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

To answer your question further, I considered that plan, but bought the Lifetime MaxCare plan. So that's my opinion of which plan has the most value. You'll be hard pressed to find a better price than Zeigler, but I got my dealer to match it when I bought my Jeep.

Re: Jeep Maximum Care help

Definitely give Rodney a call at Chrysler Warranty Direct, 888-352-6103. Cheapest extended warranty around, and can often get you a refund if you overpaid for an extended warranty at your dealership. Worth the call.

I just bought an 8yr/120k for around $2200, but I'm still within 1yr and 12k miles. Price goes up accordingly after that.
