I think the Commander still looks better than the new Grand...its just less practical. I was hoping to see a new Commander on this platform but I guess we'll see how the Wagoneer comes out.

Still looks good.

.

I've always like the boxy styling of the Commander. It reminds me of the Cherokees back in the 90's. I wish they put a bit more of that into the WK2 instead of going so much toward the European styling (think BMW X5). But it still look great, if just a little soft.

My guess is that a redesigned Wagoneer will look more like the Commander than the WK2.

I agree, the Durango is already 10" longer than the GC with 5" more wheelbase. I doubt they would be making it any longer just for the Wagoneer.

What I think it will have is different sheet metal to set it apart, not simply a rebadging. It will also probably have the more sophisticated 4WD systems and the higher resale associated with Jeep's vs. Dodge's.

Now the big question, should it have the wood side panels

Re: Jeep to revive Grand Wagoneer

god i really really really hope all this talk about the Grand Wagoneer being a re badged Duroango does NOT come to fruition... I love the GW look and really am not a huge fan of the new Durango. ooooh and im happy that its going to replace the Commander... that is def good news!

Re: Jeep to revive Grand Wagoneer

The Durango is just a stretched WK2, so why wouldn't the Wagoneer just be a re-badged Durango?? So, it could be a Jeep that turned into a Dodge, that turned into a Jeep, lol
