Is Jeep about to become the Sherwin Williams of motor vehicles by covering the globe?
in the current Wall Street Journal details how Chrysler is establishing new Jeep models and production facilities worldwide. The goal is to have Jeep be Chrysler's #1 brand everywhere, with six models and greatly expanded sales outside North America. They feel this will also increase visibility and sales over here.
Not discussed is whether this might be too much of a good thing, potentially diluting the brand's historically iconic status.
