i called a web ad for a car for my girlfriend... the ad had no price on it and i asked the DOUCHE for a price, and he wouldnt give it to me he kept wanting me to come down and check it out like 45 miles away!! lol .... i told him that his manager should be fired for 1. coming up with an idea for advertising a car online and not giving out prices and 2. HIRING LOSERS LIKE YOU!!!

DONT BUY A CAR ONLINE

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

Maybe you guys missed it in my previous post, but Eastchester Jeep in the Bronx is also a ZAG participating dealer and thru ZAG they offered me a 2012 Overland Summit @$810.00 below invoice. (Last week 10/24/11.)

This offer was close to the best offer I got from ZAG which was $861.00 below invoice from Dutchess Jeep in Poughkeepsie. So they are right near their competitors thru ZAG. I really didn't press them for an out the door price so I'm not sure what BS fees they might have tried to tack on though! The jeepdirect price was better than both of these prices, maybe someone should try and buy from them and let us all know what the real deal really is!
They do continue to send me e-mails and my e-mail filter does place them in the SPAM file, not really sure why though. Hmmm

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

they will give you $810 below invoice and then charge you $1200 for shipping and $400 for handling and $95 for convenience fees and then wipe butter on your ass and ask you to grab your ankles.

How is this any different from you walking into dealership and some dude punching the order for you into his computer. On top of that he needs a deposit for something that you have not seen yet and you will not see for the next 2 months. Once the car arrives than you deal with a lot of BS, especially once they have your deposit because they know it is almost impossible for you to back out (unless you want to lose your money).

If I could do it myself, punch in what I need and order directly from Chrysler, get the no BS final price - I would. I already have seen the car (exactly the one that I want) ... actually somebody just bought it before me.

Would never buy a used one over the internet w/o seeing it first, but that's a different story.

so you're saying you'd be fine with spending over 35k on something that you have never touched, smelled, sat inside or even looked at!!??? Sure you have seen other vehicles similar to it or even exactly like it, but its not THAT car. Come on bud, unless you're rollin with some big $$$, that just sounds stupid.

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

To be honest with you guys when it comes down to how people buy their cars, internet or not is up to each and everybody's own opinion, This guy Roki303 wanted to know if JeepDirect was good, I told him from my own experience with it that it was great, I guess being that im a new member on the site my opinion doesnt hold any weight and apparently my efforts in trying to help out was a waste of my time, which is fine by me, I really couldn't careless, doesnt effect me or my New Cherokee that I got from the place, but piece of advice, if you really want to find out if its a scam or not, Just call in to the place and ask them and find out whats up, and then from their do whatever you feel like doing

Also everybody thats all concerned about this place Eastchester being the only Jeep Direct place or not, Who cares??? If California had a better deal on a car that I really want, then Im going to California because it has the best price, so if eastchester is using the name "JeepDirect" to give the best price, I really dont care why they would do it like that, as long as I get that price from the quote....either way sorry if I came out to "cheesy" in my first two post lol just thought I'd give my 2 cents

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

my family bought an 1990 Xj over the phone without ever seeing it (in 1990), we drove 250 miles to the dealer and drove it out of his show room (through the kick a$$ big doors). That XJ was driven till 2001. If you are buying something new you have many protections which would make buying it over the internet/phone ok. used no way

Re: JeepDirect.net - any experience with this?

I bought a new WK2 over the net and in 4 quick emails from 3 states away. The vehicle was delivered to my office. Best price in the configuration I wanted. Only face to face human interaction was with my local dealer during a test drive. It was freakin AWESOME.

Meanwhile, my local service department is tremendous, going so far as to support my mod fever.

Given the choice, I'll never waste hours buying another new car directly from a person again. As stated above, used vehicle is a different beast.

^Thanks for the feedback on JeepDirect. Long live electronic distribution, it's the one bright spot in an otherwise broken stealership stereotype.

Carry on.

Well maybe it is not for everybody. To me all the new cars look the same - given no damages. If I've seen one, I feel like I don't need to see another one.

Would you be willing to pay extra 1K or 2K (and potentially get screwed at some other stuff) just to touch "the car" at the dealership? I would rather avoid that if I could as I'm not "rollin in big $$$".
