You guys make it sound like you need to wait because the MY11 and 12's are a bucket of bolts. This is not true. I suggest that the opposite is the case. The current models are very well engineered and assembled. There is no trouble free vehicle.

Im saying I would wait knowing how close a '14 is.. I love my '12... But if I woulda known how soon the '14s would be out I woulda waited... But u never know, maybe the facelift will be ugly? I have seen facelifts on vehicles that hurt the previous looks...

I agree this Jeep is going to be hard to beat. Most models look like they are missing something when they are first released. Probably because they purposely omitted the items for something to refresh with in a few years. I would go with a 12 for sure, since deep discounts will be taking place in the next couple of months, and there is virtually no major changes except for the diesel.

They have a huge possibility to screw up the rear lights with LED's if they are going to look cheap like the Dodges do right now.

I know this is off-topic, but AAAA, how do you like your LTX M/S2's compared to the Latitudes? Was the change noticeable and are there any areas where the Latitudes were better than the LTX M/S2's?

I got them so that I would not have to change tires for the winter and for mild off roading while maintaining M/S tire ride and quietness. I took delivery in late Feb. 2011 and only had one snow storm before spring. The Latitudes were good on snowy city streets. I live in a town adjacent to Albany, NY. Our town is excellent at plowing. Albany, not very good at all. IMO they ride, corner and sound the same as the Latitudes. There is much discussion on the wheel and tire thread about them if you do a search. Also read research on Tire Rack.com. This winter was mostly snowless, but was able to park in snow banks and get out just fine! The next step up would be the GY SilentArmor which has snow flake symbol and is classified as A/T. I got a good trade for them at local indie tire store after shopping around. You need to do trades below 10,000 miles. Just traded to Nokian WR G2's on wife's new Subaru with same dealer.

I am currently shopping for a JGC, most likely a base model or Laredo E package w/ bluetooth at the most.

Since the 13's don't add anything. The 14's will be a hit/miss facelift and the 8 speed might not even be available on the V6's... I'm gonna pull the trigger on the 12's.

Pricing seems to be really good on the 12's right now.

A Base Laredo w/ Bluetooth is being advertised for $24,500.

A Laredo E w/ Bluetooth is being advertised for $26,000.

I could probably knock off even more off the price since those are the advertised prices.

I would just get the 12. The 13's are going to be the same as the 12 so you would need to wait for the 2014 for the upgrades. Then when the 2014 comes out you would want to wait for any bugs to be worked out. So you would be looking probably a year and half from now to buy.
