A few. Not comprehensive, though, and I now wish I had taken more. FWIW, I'll post the 2014 JGC Limited images I have from the Show later tonight or tomorrow.

Seeing the Limited at the Show pretty much convinced me that billet silver is a great color on this particular model. If I pull the trigger on the Limited, I think I will go with the all Black leather interior (Lux2), rather then the Black/LightFrost Beige that was on display at the Show. The metallic silver exterior on the Limited works REALLY well with the dark gray fascia, lower rocker panels trim. The 18" Limited wheels look terrific.

Not my opinion or yours.....but someone who judges things like these for a living. The jeep interior was a top ten in the WORLD and I see no mention of the VW.
Actually, a T-reg Sport is 44k (47.5 with TDI and 4x4) and compared favorably with a Limited GC. And The T-Reg's interior was recognized by Ward's, but they complained that it was "too plain for $63k".

People have their own opinions. I personally think the T-Reg is a nice looking car, the original WK2 is a great looking car, and the MY14 is an abomination and anyone who was involved in its design should be fired and publicly hung.

I should clarify - by design I mean the aesthetics of it. Exterior design especially, but the new steering wheel is terrible as well.

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

Price-wise,

The Toureg Sport ($47,495) and Sport w/Nav ($49,510) line up with the JGC Limited and LUX ($45,695)+ for a a little bit of a price advantage to the JGC. Interiors of both at this level are comparable.

The JGC Overland ($50,495) fits between the VW Sport w/Nav ($49,510) and the VW Lux ($53,450). Here is where the JGC Overland really begins to demonstrate value. You can add the tech group and stlll stay below the LUX (whose interior is also gorgeous btw). In fact, you can get a Summit for just about a $1000 more than the Lux and almost 4K less than the Exec (which is out of my price range considered).

Now that I think of it, the JGC CRD is priced EXTREMELY competitively once options are added.

I've not seen in-person the new interiors of the JGC, so it is difficult to say how they stack up -- but I'm assuming that they are similar to the '13s when it comes to the plastics (and adaptive HIDS)-- and that is where the VW separates its-self. Not sure that it is an $1800-$3000 separation though, since I don't drive around with my hand on the bottom parts of the door or center console... The price jump in Overland's MSRP while personally disappointing, still gives it a significant advantage over the only comparable competitor.

I didn't intend to start emotional arguments. If I weren't leaning towards the JGC, I wouldn't have posted here.

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

My parents have a '12 VW Toureg Lux model TDI. Definitely a sweet, sweet ride. Loaded to the brim with features. Spacious. Ridiculous MPG. Looks great.

While pricey, coming in at around $55k, it's much more "refined" in my opinion than the JGC.

I'll take a '14 Overland any day of the week over it, though. Which I plan on doing.

Re: JGC CRD vs. VW Touareg TDI

..So I do ride a `11 Touareg (yes, vented seats , ACC and all) V6TDI and its defintely the nicest car I ve ever had. smooth speedy ride with great mpg.
The 13 JGC would not have been a competitor, since no 8spd tranny and ACC only down to 20mph, no stop and go.
However, the 14 JGC will be a real competiton, It offers all features the current Touareg has, but its approx 25k$ less than a comparable equipped Touareg in Germany, so at least Im going to give t a try....
..the only thing giving the Touareg an advantage is the availiability of an V8 Diesel with probably 385hp

BTW: the Touareg is built in Bratislava (...as well as all fully equipped bodies of the Porsche cayenne, In Germany they only install the powertrain (..wich is in the V6 cayenne TDI the same as in the Touareg))

Happy Day

Achim

How do you figure?

TDI:

CRD:
420 lbs/ft
240 hp

Same rating on MPG 20/29 on the 4x4's.
