Ah, the advantages of a 4WD. Gotta love the higher setting GC and the lower setting imports. Especially when the operator catches on and jams the brakes
lower the nose of their vehicle which make nice contact with the trailer hitch.
Have the shop checkout your bumper, foam inside the bumper which can be
compromised. Insurance companies will pay to replace those safety items.

Re: JGC Rear-End collision

The beauty of heavy vehicles going against light ones. I took care of a lady, last night and this morning, who was in a Suburban with her husband and three children. They were struck head-on by a couple in a sedan that crossed into on-coming traffic. The sedan was estimated at 60mph, the Suburban was going about 50. The couple in the sedan died at the scene. The mother was the only one in the Suburban who didn't walk away from the accident, but after I fixed her broken neck this morning, she will walk out of the hospital tomorrow. That is why my wife is in a Subruban, and I will be in a heavy Grand Cherokee. 5 star crash test rating doesn't mean sh!t when you collide with a vehicle that weighs twice as much as you do. The tree huggers can have their Prius like coffins....

Absolutely. I live with that every day and it's something you don't know you have until a day or so later.

This. Definitely. Many bumpers are "one time use", just like bike helmets.

I love this quote!

Glad to hear you are ok. Cars can be repaired or replaced.
