Left from Flemming Field in South St Paul MN, and Landed at Detroit City Airport. Returned back to Flemming. Vtail did a great job flying - Great flight, and better landings than most commercial flights I have taken. Weather could not have been better. All in all, it was a marvelous trip.

Re: JNAP Plant Tour

I guess it's probably a good thing that 4jeepdiesel wasn't able to make it. He would've been leaving with that Traihawk!

And I really do wish I could've shown you guys the last few areas, particularly the rest of repair, and the rest of the body shop that I call home. But with only a couple hours, we were already short on time. But nonetheless, it was nice having the opportunity to share all the useless info I've learned here over the years with ppl who actually care.. "Mrs. Chevy" usually just nods and says "oh ok" when I talk about things at work. Much like I do her when she tries telling me abt some crap she saw on Pinterest.

And best of all, I was able to convince her (with you guys' help) that this is NOT a blog! She's always sneaking up on me whispering "are you blogging again?" I hate it. But last night as we watched David Ortiz t-off on my Tigers, she randomly asked, "are girls allowed in yall's club?" Lol.. So I'm making progress.

Awesome. I did a tour of the Porsche factory a few years back when I bought mine, and it is amazing what goes on behind the scenes. With the photo's, maybe next time, or if you have more, put them in dropbox and post a link to the folder.

Re: JNAP Plant Tour

Thanks to all of you who made this thread and our jeeps possible. I have worked in airplane factories and could see some similarities (recognized the creform tubing parts carts). I found the chart dissecting the different materials used along with the multi-colored skeleton pretty interesting.

Re: JNAP Plant Tour

Absolutely fantastic guys, spent my morning looking at all of the pictures.

Thanks Chevy, certainly would not have been possible if you didn't reach out the Diesel Group on this one.

I would have loved to have been there but maybe some day!

Shannon.

Many thanks for taking all the pictures. You did a fantastic job providing an online tour for all JG members to enjoy.

I look forward to seeing you again when you finalize plans for delivery in Houston.

Well like I told another member (Beski) a few weeks ago when he was coming to Detroit, they ARE considering doing an owners event. And it would most likely be more thorough than what I was able to provide.. I think you guys should all reach out to Chrysler and petition them to follow thru and set something up. There's just too much demand for them not to. And it's good PR.

But if (for whatever reason) they don't, then next year I'll try to get a few more coworkers to participate so more ppl can come.
