Just Bought a 14 Summit, what are the must have accessories?

I just signed the papers on a 14 Summit 5.7. I'll pick it up from the dealer next week.

Are there any must have accessories? I am getting some floor mats. They asked if I wanted mudguards, but I wasn't sure how they would look. The were pushing hard for me to get the Simonize sealant for the paint, I passed since it sounded like a rip off for $800.

Slush mats, shark fin, wheel locks...

There really are no must have accessories. Slush mats are popular, but not necessary in most areas.

Op - smart move on turning down the sealant. Give it a good coat of wax and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations on your purchase.

You have the floor mats already taken care of. You may enjoy a cargo mat so you can throw things in the back. I just bought a WeatherTech cargo liner that I am pleased with.

Each to their own, but I don't bother with paint sealant, rust proofing, wheel locks.

Try to have salesperson throw in Mopar cargo mat. It is a top shelf product.

If you have kids you might appreciate slush mats.

None of these are absolutely required...but here is my list that I did upon acquisition of my new Overland.
  • Weathertech liners for at least the front. Cargo mat (LLoyd's TruBerber for me) for cargo area. Jeepgarage vendor XenonDepot has great pricing and free shipping.
  • Radar detector, if you don't have one AND you have a heavy right foot.
  • 32GB SD cards for music collection and the UConnect media system.
  • Bottle of Leatherique Prestine Clean leather cleaner?
  • Vacation days from work, to head to the mountains (or beach, if that is your preference...)

Depends on whether you care but the ability to read and display engine parameters from the OBD-II socket is nice. Personally like to know exactly what my cars are doing.

Re: Just Bought a 14 Summit, what are the must have accessories?

Added skid plates and Thule bike rack for the hitch last week to my summit. Not a necessity but nice if you would make use of these type of things.
