Re: Just got a Jeep Welcome Kit in the mail...

Yeah I got the welcome package from jeep. I thought it was a nice touch. I got nothing when I bought the 2011.

How about Jeep sending us something we could ACTUALLY use, like some touch-up paint or a coupon for $25 off a genuine Jeep accessory?
I just received an email from Jeep with a coupon for 20% off Jeep gear as a 1 year anniversary of my purchase gift. Only thing was, you had to enter the coupon number to get the discount and the number was missing from the coupon.

I believe it only breaks if you try to use it for keeping your Jeep keys on...

If you just keep house keys on it, might work...

Dunno if it is heavy enough to turn off the engine on a GM vehicle or not... [for those who think WE got troubles...]

Seriously, agree with you, Jeep owner standard swag isn't particularly competitive, particularly as they discover the nitpicking you will get when the price balloons to over that of a medium Mercedes, BMW, etc.

That made me laugh! Soooo true.

There is no doubt the packaging and postage cost way more than the key chain. The flip book is personalized with the selling dealership info and your VIN. Somehow I am thinking this is a dealership thing where they opt in to participate at a small cost per sale. It really ought to be a Jeep thing instead of a dealership thing and focus on what they give you...a quality key chain. Obviously, someone is disconnected from the matter when the fob can't physically go on the key chain without adding an additional little ring. Just sayin'. In one sense it is a good brand marketing and post purchase reinforcer.....on the other hand, it is a marketing failure...especially "it's made to last wherever the path may take you". Shaking my head!

Maybe they intend you sprinkle the pieces of the thing along the trail so you can find your way home?

Re: Just got a Jeep Welcome Kit in the mail...

Maybe they are afraid that if the key chains had top of the line quality control, everybody would expect the same in their Jeep.

Re: Just got a Jeep Welcome Kit in the mail...

Got mine about two months ago and it's starting to fall apart, so if that's a complaint so be it.
