For every 20 bad stories on here, there is a 1000 good stories off of this website. I know a few people who have 14's and love them. I even have a friend who swore she would never drive anything except an Acura MDX. She now drives a 2014 Billet Silver Overland.

I have a 2014 Limited Hemi w/Sunroof and is a early March 2013 build which I purchased in May 2013 and now have 10,000 miles on it and have had no problems and I love my Jeep.

Re: Just ordered a LTD. Now I'm worried...

Greetings,

OP, I have had my JGC since Feb 7, 2011 here are my problems:
  1. Since I like great sound, the factory system was not so good.
  2. I have to get the FOB reprogramed once in a while.
  3. Those Michelin Latitude tires are the pits.
  4. Did have 2 wheel bearings replaced under warranty.

Otherwise, I have 42k+ now and as a first time Jeep owner I could not have been any happier. This is really a wonderful vehicle. My friend who leases Honda Pilot's could not believe how good this Jeep is.

i have established my self with my local Jeep Service center and I get excellent care.

Best for now.

My wife was a hard sell. And now I'm seeing all these problems and that's when I started to question. She actually made me promise that there wouldn't be any problems (loosening my collar).

At the same time, I'm totally pumped for a Jeep and hoping for the best.

BTW, reading the Edmunds reviews is NOT the place to go for positive reinforcement. WTF?!

I have had my 2013 for over a year 20,000 miles replaced tray in the center console because it was cracked that's it. I had a Lexus RX300 before this and I was happy with it but once I got my Jeep I like it 1000 times more. Like any car there is always that chance something will happen but that's why you have a warranty. Time to change the game up from the pilot

I have a very early build (Feb. 2013) 2014 Overland and have had no issues whatsoever. By far the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Re: Just ordered a LTD. Now I'm worried...

I have an Oct 2013 build Limited and other than the rough shifting that the latest TSB fixed and an alignment my Jeep has been perfect, I love it.

Re: Just ordered a LTD. Now I'm worried...

45,000 miles. Only issue was a missed stitch on armrest and "soft" windshield. My feeling now is to get a new one next year.

Re: Just ordered a LTD. Now I'm worried...

With all this said Check the build date. There are still a lot of early builds on dealers lots here in Atlanta. Especially Summits. Don't expect the dealer to have done any updates and check the history with the dealer as to what has been done. And last remember the sales departments Job is to sell them. The service departments job is to service. They do not communicate with each other.
Enjoy your New Jeep!

So is it consensus that all the TSBs have solved issues?

Greetings,

As a first time Jeep owner, they do keep updating TSB's list. Whereas, other manufacture do not tell the public anything. Even the 2011's had some problems in the beginning. I setup an appointment with the service center after I picked mine up and the updated all the TSB's at the time that was needed when qualified. Now that I have long stand relationship with the service department, they check to see if I need any updates.

I think right now, there seams to be here at Jeepgrage.org a huge percentage of 2014 owners of the WK2. With the vast majority of them loving the vehicle. Do not be afraid to PM somebody of their personal opinion.

Here is the latest list:

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - 2011-2016 Grand Cherokee Service Bulletins and Recalls

Best for now.

Re: Just ordered a LTD. Now I'm worried...

You also have to remember that the people with issues are always going to be more vocal online. Ever read reviews of restaurants, hotels, electronics, mobile apps, etc, I think you would always find that people with a bad experience are going to go online to post about. People need to vent, (not saying a problem is not legit) usually that is in an online forum or review section. The people with positive reviews are more likely to just go on their merry way and not spend time to give a glowing review of their positive experience online.
