Re: Key fob makeover

Can't do it and they've removed reference to it in the manual.

Re: Key fob makeover

I wish they would recess the buttons more. Can't tell you how many times just the other stuff in my pocket has activated the remote start, panic alarm, and probably the unlock feature. Never have I owned a car that has the buttons this raised for false activations.

Re: Key fob makeover

Not to go too far off topic, but FYI the fob can remain fully submerged for at least 20 seconds and it still works. Don't ask me how I know this.

Re: Key fob makeover

would your jeep have to be built with power flipper glass in the back in order for it to work on the remote?

I have a 2012 and my flipper glass is manual, I do have the power liftgate though. I don't have a button on my remote for the flipper glass so if i bought a third remote with the flipper glass button would it open my glass??

I happen to know that it can remain submerged for 20 minutes and still work. But I'll bet the battery life is shortened.

No, only unlock the flipper glass. Still have to manual open it.

Same here. I went swimming about two months back and forgot it was in my suit pocket. No worries. Still works great!
