2014 Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Sorry if this has been answered before but my seach came up empty. What is the difference between the 4x4 Laredo and 4x4 Laredo-E? I know the Laredo-E costs more but what do you get extra for that? Thanks for any help?

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Are you referring to the 2011-2013 or the 2014? You should be able to see a full list of differences here, assuming it's accurate: WK2Jeeps.com - 2011-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee menu (See the Feature Availability PDF).

I think some of the main differences for the 2014 are that you need the E to be able to choose certain colors, and you need the E to be able to choose any of the options or packages. E also gives you a power driver's seat, satellite radio, and "bright" roof rails. Might give you a couple other things too.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

I'm not sure about the 2013 but the 2012 Laredo e has keyless enter and go, chrome roof rails, Sirius, power 4 way driver lumbar, and power 8 way driver seat. Hope this helps. I highly recommend getting Bluetooth as well.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Basically a real person can't buy a Laredo without the E package, that seems to be a mandatory option unless buying a pride.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

The base Laredo has: NO keyless go, NO power driver seat,No chrome roof rails, NO uconnect (optional) and some radios don't even include Sirius, and only QT1 is available if 4wd. Basically the base Laredo is as plain jane as you can get. Im sure 2014 is the same. Just get the Laredo E and you'll get these options plus more.

Thumbs up Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Does anyone know if Laredo E comes with leather seats? I see that you can add the "all weather group package" which includes heated front seats but no where does it say anything about leather seats.

For the most part:

Laredo E for '14 = Laredo X '11-'13????

Thanks all!

No it doesn't you have to get the Limited to get leather from the factory. However you can get a loaded up Laredo E then get a Katzkin leather kit installed. Ask your dealer about it or a local upholstery shop.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Scooterha,

Thanks for the quick reply. So just to make sure I am understanding this correctly....the Laredo E w/ the all weather package featuring the heated front seats (per the .pdf) will be with cloth seats? If so, this is great. Leather goes to crap.....I have a '12 Laredo X HEMI which is already showing signs of wear. I was also on the lot today talking to a dealership about also ordering the '14 for my wife (which I'll end up taking and she can have mine) but completely forgot to ask the leather question....anyway, looked at some of the used ones on the lot and anywhere between 11k-40k miles used and shite I can only imagine what the leather is going to look like at 5 years with 100k miles.

Heated cloth seats would be clutch.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Actually I thought the Laredo X had leather but that may no longer be an option. Of course for far less than the price difference there is always katzkin.

In a hot climate, cloth is better, why I have sheepskin covers in the Reattae.

Re: Laredo vs Laredo-E Difference

Yes, that is correct as far as I know. My '12 Laredo X has leather and that's all I've ever seen in the 'X' trim but obviously they are doing away with the 'X' trim for '14. The Laredo E with heated front seats but no mention of leather was confusing bc all I've known is heated seats only being available for leather. Hearing its cloth is actually a plus for me.

Why do you say leather is choice for hot climates? I live in a cold climate region so heated seats of any sort are choice in my opinion! But if leather DEFINITELY need remote start. I just can't stand the look of leather after it starts cracking. Looks great at first but not worth it to me. Only car I ever had with leather in it that looked nice after 100k miles was my 08 z71 Tahoe. Barely looked used...but after seeing the GC on used lot today with only 40k, it makes me want cloth even more. But I am going to look into this Katzskin as a couple of you have suggested-good call.

Best hunting on the new '14s.
