Re: Laredo X - Off Road Equipment

Couple of more questions:

-Factory tow hooks on ORP, those are front only?
-Is auto mode on selec-trac the same as quad 1?
-Confirmation that full size spare for Laredo X (P265/60R18) will fit in spare well? (I've heard different things)

Mine is listed as front tow hooks only, but I have the tow package too. Selec-Trac in auto does not act the same as QT-1, it can still transfer power to either axle as needed, QT-1 is still a 50/50 (ish) fixed split - I could be wrong on that one too, thats just what i've come up with when I was researching the WK2.

Not sure about the spare, I have the 17" wheel. Full size fits fine back there with room to spare though.

My factory hooks included with the OR1 package I got is two fronts and one rear.

My full size spare fits.

Re: Laredo X - Off Road Equipment

This probably doesnt apply to the original poster but another good (and cheap) off road accessory is a D-ring receiver hitch and ALWAYS carry a Recovery strap (the one w/o hooks) unless you prefer hurtling metal projectiles whizzing by your head.

Both can be found cheaply at harbor freight tools.

Re: Laredo X - Off Road Equipment

Be careful of harbor freight tools. It's often a matter of you-get-what-you-pay for there. I've stopped going there due to a couple easily stripped philips screw drivers & sockets. And have a friend who had a torque extension bar brake on him - it was obviously very brittle metal. Not sure I'd trust something like a D-ring from them.

Re: Laredo X - Off Road Equipment

Thanks for the add'l info. It's funny harbor freight just expanded to my area (Long Island), two new stores opened past month I've never seen them or heard of them before.

If I'm going to be getting, tow hooks, skid plates new full-size spare and rim to match my existing where do most of you go. To the dealer or do you purchase and have delivered online. I'm sure I can stall the skid plates. Do you save alot of is it not that much of a difference and have the dealer do it.
