Re: Laredo X v. Overland

I'd take a Laredo X it seems like the most realistic purchase to me.. you get everything you need but nothing you want, if you catch my drift.

Re: Laredo X v. Overland

I originally intended to buy a Laredo X as well (had what I needed without the extras), but got completeled upsold on the HIDs, Heated Steering, ventilated seats, Adaptive Cruise, etc. All those features are just friggin' awesome, and Jeep really gives you this stuff at a reasonable price compared to other brands.

My wife's Acadia was more money with a lot less features. As long as she's happy though

I worry that the Overland is not rugged like the basic Laredo, but if I go ahead and juice up the Laredo, I may wind up with a quasi-Overland with a resale value no where near that high. Should I get over my image issue with luxury (who wants a wooden steering wheel? Or worse, a heated steering wheel) and go with the Overland?
Why are you jumping from a Laredo X to an Overland? What about the Limited?

BTW, no offense to those who upgraded. I like the stuff just didn't see the need to pay for it.
i agree, i love our X. would like the HID but not willing to pay for it. we got everthing we wanted plus GPS, 4x4, select trac, skid plates, and trail rating. out the door tax tag and title 32,250.

not a big fan of chrome, no need for sun roof. the steering wheel get plenty hot in the south. could care less if rear pass. fanies are warm as long as mine is.

That is one of the greatest things about the GC. If you want you can get a base 4x4 with the hemi and kick some butt on road for not much money. Or (like many on this board did including me) go out and get all the fun options anyone would want. (Don't you love that "easy ordering option" called the Overland??

You can't get base 4x4 with HEMI. It has to be Laredo X to get HEMI

Re: Laredo X v. Overland

For me i went in looking for a limited because I didn't need all the extras of the overland. All I wanted on the limited was the 20" wheels, navigation, and pano roof. With those options the limited cost more than the overland that came standard with that and much more. And I love the wood grain heated steering wheel. I now hate getting into my civic on a cold day and having to hold onto a cold steering wheel. It sounds kinda bad to say that, but once you have it you don't want to drive without it.
