Late Availability

According to the Jeep Engineers almost all of the late availability issues should be resoved by next week.
Other than the Nav Radio (RHR) we should be able to order a fully loaded Overland. I'll probably opt for the off road pkg. so the 20" wheels don't matter.
Am I missing anything?

Re: Late Availability

You may be able to order, but that order may be restricted until those items are available for installation. That part wasn't made very clear on the chat.

Re: Late Availability

The rear radar stuff may not be available either. They said ACC and forward collision avoidance, but did not say that the rear side stuff would be ready.

Re: Late Availability

Does anyone know what "day" next week these orders can be placed? I'm about to do the same. And how is the order process? Do you negotiate the price up front or is that done during delivery (2+ months later the way things are going now). I never had to place an order before for a vehicle and i'm wondering if they have us by the balls b/c of supply vs. demand.

Dealerships do have an advatange to to demand. It allows them to be a little less negotiable during your sale. Visit the thread for pricing to get an idea of what you should be spending. Also visit more than one dealership. Have each dealer give you a copy of the POC with there price WRITTEN on it, then staple there card to it and move on to the next dealer.

Yeah. That's what I thought but also they all come under the heading of Technology Group so I assume if 2 are ready the 3rd is. But you know what happens when you assume...

RyeGuy has given good advice. Get written estimates and take your best deal. Once you decide where to buy you usually sign the contract up front. They will give you a final price, including any deals, trade ins or incentives. They will want to know how you are financing the deal and maybe include incentives with cheaper financing. Once you sign you will probably have to give them a deposit of $500 give or take a few bucks. If you finance through a bank subtract the deposit from the settled price and that is the size of the check you need to show up with to get the car. Not sure what happens if you finance through a dealer.

Actually aren't there 4 items? There's (1) Adaptive Cruise Control (2) Blind Spot Monitoring (3) Rear Cross Path Detection and (4) Forward Collision Warning. I saw something on the web that showed all four as part of the "Technology Package" that had a price of $1295 MSRP. I saw the responses from the Jeep Engineers and figured that if those two are ready the whole package must be ready to be ordered next week.

Thanks. It seems like the other posts show people getting below MSRP, and just above invoice unless there are certain circumstances warranting a better deal. If anyone wants to hook me up with a "CDI" # or whatever that is, please do . I negotiated roughly $125 over invoice last weekend on a car they "thought" they could trade for with another dealership in a neighboring state, and after the shake it turned out it was already sold. I'm hoping to get the same deal when i head back for my mineral gray otherwise i will be taking your advice.

If anything they should definitely be able to match that price they offered or do a little better but 125 over invoice is great. When they swap vehicles they sometimes lose holdback which is what they get as a percentage of the MSRP or sometimes they swap HB with the vehicle they are getting. Point being, if its a dealer stock Jeep, they have full advantage of their own savings and their offer should remain the same.

From the Engineer chat the Blind spot detection should be ready next week
