Re: Latest Consumer Reports

Online, CR shows overall reliability (V6/V8) both as "good," not below average. However, the page for detailed reliability info is essentially blank! Their online editing is atrocious, so who knows, but those white circles indicate average. I'll check the dead tree edition over the weekend, but normally they don't recommend a model with below-good reliability so I think the online rating info is correct.

Predicted Reliability

Re: Latest Consumer Reports

Bump to confirm Andrew Klossner's earlier post. Got the print version of Consumer Reports, and in fine fashion the online report suggests one thing, the printed report another. Indeed, in the printed report they cite the WK2 as being slightly below average, with the V6 faring slightly worse than the Hemi.

CR really needs to get its act together online instead of treating it as a red-headed stepchild. The editing is atrocious, coverage weaker, and content often comes online after readers already have the print version in hand.

Someday they'll catch up with the 21st century.

Maybe the Wrangler brought up Jeep's score?
Your issue with the Grand Cherokee is not the norm. You have to look at the big picture.

BMW would have to build something absolutely monumental for me to ever consider anything from them again. Not even considering their disgusting Bangle-butt look in years past, after repairing several BMWs repeatedly and failures interrupting my life, all I can say is just give your X5 a little more time before it bites you in the assets.
