Did you wire the lights up plug and play or did you run the LED's to the fuse box? Looks great! Any tips for the install?

That LED setup really caught me off guard. Looks great!

Do you have any upclose photos of the setup?

New LED headlight for 2014 grand Cherokee Laredo

Read through that thread for more info on those headlights. Mine are in the mail they are direct plug and play.

They can also be modified by splicing one wire (doesn't affect any factory wiring / can be undone) on the new headlights to turn he LED's on only without the parking lights as permanent day time run lights for us in the U.S. Which looks like this.

Re: Lauter10's 2014 Laredo

Jeep looks great and for aftermarket lights those look surprisingly good. I doubt anyone has a side by side comparison, but I wonder how they compare to the OEM LED units as far as brightness. The OEM ones get very bright when you put the vehicle in drive.

These are very bright at night as well might even be brighter than the oem's because it's not broken down into led sections like the oem's. It is solid consistent lighting similar to what Audi headlamp led's look like.

I decided to do plug and play, as I still have no clue about these headlamp's longevity. My main goal was to make the Jeep look clean, and to add a few elements I felt it was missing. As far as the exterior, the black honeycomb inserts, wheels, and a chrome exhaust tip are the only additions aside from these lights that I'm testing out. I know there is so much that can be done to these Jeeps. I love the awesome set ups you have all worked hard on, and I want to thank all of you for having one of the most useful and active vehicle communities around.

Re: Lauter10's 2014 Laredo

Thank you!

Take your time, and make sure you have a safe place to set the bumper down once the bumper is off. I consider the pins to be disposable, and I replaced them once reinstalling just to be safe.

Although I considered an HID kit, and slyvania/Philips daimond vision bulbs, I ultimately replaced the existing H11 bulbs in the new housings with new OEM H11 halogens. I wanted to keep things as simple as possible so that in the event anything were to go wrong I would have less variables to trouble shoot.

Other than that it really seemed like I was just putting in a new set of OEM headlight housings. I see that others have wired the lights to fit their needs, but for a plug and play headlamp I could not be happier with them!

I agree with you 100% the less variables the better. I've been down that road before and it was just a headache and a half troubleshooting what needed to be replaced balasts/bulbs/resistors etc... its too much when you go aftermarket. I will probably wire them up to run as Day Time Running lights though as that isn't much of a variable and doesn't affect the factory wiring in any way. But I will be sticking with my 7k Nokya Arctic white bulbs and not be going to HID's for that reason of added complication down the road.

Thanks for your input mine come thursday can't wait to get them on

Re: Lauter10's 2014 Laredo

one more question how was the aim of the headlights on the new assemblies? did you have to adjust them or where they at a good setting when you got them?
