The residual is calculated from the MSRP

And that's why it's sooo important to negotiate a good selling price.

Re: Lease offers on '17 GC

I am below invoice on the agreed price from the dealership so that is good and I have a good high trade in price also negotiated. Basically they way it stands now from the numbers I got from the dealership directly, I can trade in my current jeep, zero down and walk out with the '17 for just under $500/mo on a 36mo/15k lease.

Or I can bring 20k cash, finance over 72mo and have roughly the same payment but I would own the jeep. decisions decisions

Of course, this price and the tax gets lower with each and every payment - especially with an extremely low money factor because each and every payment is almost entirely applied to reduce the purchase price since there is virtually no interest.

That would be $2.75 per payment - doesn't matter how much you are paying - it's a 'flatrate". I pay my lease-payment by credit card every month and pocket the cash back, too.

Is Chrysler Cap stopping the pay by credit card? Thought is read that some time ago

Yup, shortly after I posted that info, I got an e-mail, stating that Chrysler would stop accepting CC-payments as of April 1st.

Re: Lease offers on '17 GC

I leased a GC Limited on 3/10/2017 from the Ramsey NJ dealer. This is my lease deal below. I think it's a pretty good deal because it took a lot of 'walk out the door' negotiation and other local dealers wanted $520+ for the 15k miles. I don't like to lease but I think more safety tech will become standard in the next 3 years, so I may buy then. I really want active forward collision breaking for my wife & kids next time around:

2017 Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4
Color: True Blue
Package 23H (Regular sunroof, Navigation, Blind Spot Detection)
MSRP: $44,075
Gross Cap Cost: $40,550
Residual Value: $23,359
36 month
15k miles per year
Payment: $480 per month

I paid $320 cash for license plate registration fees out the door.
So therefore, I paid $800 total to drive off the lot ($480 1st month payment plus $320) then 35 more $480 payments due. The taxes and junk fees are included in the $480 per month payment.

Let me know if you have other questions or if you think I got taken.

Re: Lease offers on '17 GC

I am currently working on a JGC Overland V8 with Tech and 19 speakers.
MSRP: 55270
Sale price $1500 below invoice
$2500 incentives
money factor. .00006
Residual 55%
36/10
Payment comes out to $570 including NYC taxes I am trying to work it down to $550 which means taking off another $1000 from the selling price.
