It was like $150 less a month and had a similar sticker.
Yup, that's probably what it is.

I agree your better off putting nothing down. If you have $5,000 put it in the bank and use it every month to make your payments. BTW every $1,000 you put down should usually lower your monthly payment around $30 give or take.
Keep in mind that I only used the $5K down for the payment-estimator on jeep.com to arrive at the actual net-price. I'd never put more than $1K down on a lease and I will only put down $1K because that's the deposit for the order and it looks a bit stupid to ask for a refund when taking delivery.

The other $4K are the difference between MSRP and the 4% below invoice I'll be trying to get.

Why do you need $1,000 down for an order? I ordered a $40,000 loaded 2014 Limited Cherokee and my dealer didn't require anything down for the order.

Hmm, I'll give it a try. If the dealer isn't asking for a deposit, I'll certainly won't make one.

Anything up to $1K would be fine with me. After all, that's not a high risk and brings the payment down - so I wouldn't mind.

The numbers for the Limited don't seem too bad. I leased at 36/m 15k/year with the 8.4A option ($500) and I'm at $480/m. The difference for me was the miles, I think it bumped it up ~$60/m.

You just have to be patient, really work with the numbers, incentives, etc. My 2014 Overland is $501 a month with $2500 down. It took me about 2-3 months of shopping around at dealerships and finding different programs to make it work. Its a 39 month lease through Chrysler.
