Re: Leather Care & Wear - Black vs. Beige

Some of you mentioned color coming off jeans onto the seats. I wear black jeans a lot and when I buy new ones I always wash them before wearing them. No problem with the beighe leather.

Forgot to mention before. The only thing I do to protect them is when I work on the jeep or am doing something that I know I am getting dirty and greasy etc, I throw a seat cover on the drivers seat. Then when I am done I take it off. It is a cheap one from wallyworld that I keep rolled up under the seat for this use. That way I don't get grease/grime on the leather.

Re: Leather Care & Wear - Black vs. Beige

I have an '03 Liberty that has light beige seats that are about the same shade as the light beige in the WK2. I've never really had any problem with them getting too dirty. Sure, I maybe noticed them looking a bit grey here and there, but a quick wipe with a leather cleaner I got gets them clean. I think I've done this maybe just 4 times in the 7 1/2 years I've owned it.

Have never had a jeans problem; I'd imagine that new dark indigo jeans could be a problem until they're washed a few times.

It's a non-issue, imo.

Re: Leather Care & Wear - Black vs. Beige

Easiest way to clean any stains on light leather is the magic eraser. Just rub lightly and it will get any discoloration right out.
