leather difference and durability

Looking at couple different Grands and I'm trying to determine if the leather with the luxII pkg is worth the upgrade. It seems that when quickly comparing the two that the perforated leather will hold up much better. I'm afraid with the standard leather that it will stretch and show typical wear and tear much sooner. thoughts?

Re: leather difference and durability

The standard leather also has vinyl on the sides and vinyl will tear.

Re: leather difference and durability

I think the LUXII package will hold up better than the overlands. The LUXII package has vinyl sides, but the overlands are full leather.

I would not worry about the perforations and wear. It should hold up the same.

Re: leather difference and durability

The LUXII Leather on the Limited is "Ventilated Axis Perforated Nappa Leather Trim and Caprice with Protein Vinyl".

The Leather on the Overland is "Ventilated Axis Perforated Nappa Leather Trim and Caprice with Protein Vinyl with accent color piping"

The Leather on the Laredo X and standard on Limited is "Capri Leather/Capri Vinyl Trim".

Vinyl tears. Leather does not tear. I'm guessing Protein Vinyl is stronger than Capri Vinyl.
