Re: Leather Seat Quality Experience MY 2013

At 7,300 miles, I complained to both the dealer and to Chrysler directly. Chrysler called me immediately and told me to bring it in, and they'll replace the leather.
I drive about 900 miles a month. Today, I have 13,129 miles on my vehicle, and 6 months have passed. The seat is still not fixed.

To date, I've had the leather issue, a rattling console that I fixed myself after 6 dealer trips where they kept forgetting to reconnect the console lights, and my driver's side fog lamp (ready?) melted. Yep, the whole housing went poof!

The leather is an issue with me as it stares at me as I climb out of the car every day. It's like Jeep/Chrysler doesn't care a bit about this.

How many time have you and/or your dealer called Jeep customer support in the past 6 months. Once they agree to something it shouldn't take forever.

My black seats are fine, better than the beige seats I had in my Lincoln.

I have 11k on my saddle 2013 GC Summit and it looks and smells new. The seats and saddle dash make this Jeep look like a million bucks!

Re: Leather Seat Quality Experience MY 2013

I have MY13 Overland w/saddle, 6k miles. Everything still looks great with the exception of the driver side seat-bottom. It is bubbled and stretched a bit. The thing is, I noticed it was like that when I picked the truck up initially, it was just very minor. My problem is OCD so it really annoys me. Anyone else have the same issue?

Re: Leather Seat Quality Experience MY 2013

In all the vehicles I have kept with leather(I like the latest/greatest...it's an addiction) I have always used some sort of leather conditioner. Normally only apply 2/3 times a year but it helps keep the leather clean as well as for lack of a better word pliable.

I don't put up window shades or the such but I figure taking the extra hour when I am cleaning it can't hurt. Hasn't let me down yet.

I think now that having the leather dash I will have to keep better tabs on it due to the constant sun it will get more so than the seat wear and tear.

Re: Leather Seat Quality Experience MY 2013

I have a 2013 overland with Black Leather. I have white spots / fade looking areas that show up then go away over time. It is not sun screen, it is not sweat stains, etc. They show up in locations that you would not normally touch. Still waiting to hear back from Chrysler on what options we have.

I guess I should feel lucky. My 2012 GC that was built in Oct. 2011 has 43k on it and the leather still looks new. When I've been away for a week and first open the door the car smells new.
