Has anybody installed a led lightbar behind the grill? Im not interested in mounting on a nudgebar and understand mounting behind the grill is going to lose some of its effectiveness. Coming from a nissan and having custom made nighteater spotlights mounted upfront im sure missing daylight at night
Few questions on this.. First, how difficult is it to do? I mean, I am a big fan of diy, but is there need to solder it or is it plug and play? And since I don't have hid headlights are there any bulbs put there that would match up to the color of the speaker for lights if I chose not to do the conversion?
Started the install today. wiring all done 11400lumens at 500m. Found a blank grommet in the firewall right above the steering shaft hard to see but a nice sized hole. I believe nobody has gound this one before.
All done massive job took about 6hrs to get it right. A few modifications needed in the mounts. And sourcing a high beam trigger was a bit of an issue.
I'm also thinking of placing one on the back of the truck to help with reversing. Would there be a way to wire it so its both manually on/off and automatically on when put in reverse?
Guess it has to be spliced with the reverse tails?
