Lets talk MODIFIED lift kits (getting higher)...

Has anyone outside Jeep Corp (moab vehicles), and a couple Aussies really ever tried pushing the wk2 to the height limit?

Eibach has a 2"
RRO is 2.5" and still a weird rake.
couple other things ive heard mentioned briefly but still 2.5 or under.

Whats the limitation here? I know the independant suspension is the answer, but what specifically is holding back from a 3+ kit? Axle shafts?

From what ive seen and read, the orange-ish Moab concept GC that was on 35s still retained most of its factory driveline with just suspension modifications. What the heck did they actually do to it, anyone know?

Has anyone tried to use a spacer (smaller than RRO level kit) on the front with a kit like Eibachs? Anyone ran a lower spring perch (TJ) spacer on the back of a wk2 that already has the lifted rear?

Before I start shopping for someone to start custom fabbing for me, id like to know if the threshold has already been met. 3.5" and 34s would be my endgame.

The ultimate limitation is reliability. Sure, the WK2 could be lifted more, but then it would start eating CV joints and the like. This isn't the best platform for large lifts.

One (expensive) solution is to reinforce the unibody and swap solid axles in the place of the independent suspension. Bring $15k-20k to a chassis builder or race truck fabricator, and yes, it "could" be done.

Looking for the same info. I saw somewhere else that JKS might get something going if they get enough people on board but as I was typing this response I checked back at that other place and I saw that you had seen that info as well...
