life expectancy of brakes?

Has anyone replaced brakes yet? Just curious how long they've been lasting.

5.7, 4x4, no towing, some mountain road driving, mostly stop and go city traffic.

Re: life expectancy of brakes?

I have 27k miles now on mine (5.7 4x4) with about 5k towing miles. Looked at the brakes this weekend while swapping wheels and there looked to be 60-75% of the pads left front and rear, and no major wear on the rotors. I would project up into the 40-50k range before replacement is needed.

Re: life expectancy of brakes?

Nice. Thats good news. I hate replacing brakes, etc. during the course of a lease. Thanks!
