Yes, the website is http://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com

Latest price seems to be $2315 w/ $100 deductible from there.... is that the best out there right now?

Yes. That's what I just paid from Ziegler. I'm keeping this Jeep for at least 10 years and wanted peace of mind with all this new technology.

Re: Lifetime extended warranties, do they make sense?

So does everyone add a warranty immediately upon purchase? I did not but am greatly considering it. I did think to wait until I got closer to the end of the 3yr 36K bumper to bumper.

I haven't purchased mine yet but am going get it with in one year of my purchase. (I'm at 6 months now and starting to get literature in the mail) From what I understand if you get the warranty with in one year and
less then 12000 miles you'll still get the same price as if it were day one. After a year and 12000 miles the warranty price goes up. Maybe someone else can also verify if that's correct.

Price has been somewhat stable but if they do a price bump during the 12 mo period then...

It's about a 10% lift. Of course you can't predict but you can play around on the MVP website by just feeding it 13k, 37k etc....it'll show the lift for today's prices. Gotta figure the same rough % lift in the future.

Re: Lifetime extended warranties, do they make sense?

I bought mine (7/70 Max Care) about a week before my one year anniversary this month. I think you save about $150 if you buy before the first year ends - also Ziegler will give you an additional $50 off if you ask. I can't imagine keeping a vehicle over 7 years personally, and as I remember the lifetime is about double the cost of the 7/70.

As far as whether it is worth it, hard to say. I had a '97 GC with a service contract that I never used once. Replaced that with a '06 Infiniti FX that didn't have a service contract, and I had nothing but problems with electronics and engine sensors after the warranty expired (so much for Japanese reliability). I decided not to tempt fate this time by assuming I would have two perfect Jeeps in a row!

Re: Lifetime extended warranties, do they make sense?

The Houston group buy dealer. Not a deal you can call up and get, one of those you get if you buy there. BTW, I know for a fact that dealer cost on Max Care Lifetime/Unltd $100 deduct is $1885. My other choices 11/13 were:

Ziegler $2135 OTD
Chryslerwarrantys.com $2265 OTD using their $200 coupon (best you'll get)
My local OH dealer $2085 + 8% sales tax = $2251

What's the site for the Ziegler dealer you cited below? I thought Chryslerwarrantys.com was Ziegler.

Thanks.

Here's the link.

CHRYSLER SERVICE CONTRACTS: Extended Warranties from Chrysler. SAVE 60%! Quick Quotes. Buy Online.

I just went on the Ziegler website and filled out the info. to get a quote. Lifetime with $100.00 deductible. Current mileage 5000, less then 12 months. drive less then 12000 miles a year.

Ziegler $2,315.00 (This price seems higher then what everyone is posting here am I missing something? Can it be because of the state you live in?)
Chrysler warranty's - Lifetime $2391.00
