Liftgate release button missing - new key fob

Just got the Remote Start installed in my 14 JGC Overland yesterday, it's Middle East Export model so it didn't come with Remote start in the beginning but just became available so I took the Jeep to my dealer to install it..
Part # is 82214097 (for vehicles built after 7/15/2013), my Jeep was built in Aug 2013
It's working as it should BUT the new key fob I got from the dealer doesn't have the Liftgate Release button!! attached photo shows both new and old key fobs.
Is this how "remote start key fob" should be for export models?
The liftgate release button was already there on my old key fob, which is not working now after programming the new one, so why it's missing on the new one?
Is it possible to program the new key fob to do that missing function? like for example pressing 2 or 3 times on the door unlock button to release liftgate?

Feedback Please!
Thanks in advance

Re: Liftgate release button missing - new key fob

Probably. Just like for the 2011 where the remote was changed to take out the flipper glass open button --- the button was still there, just not labeled and the contact under the button disabled. You should be able to enable the lift gate button the same way (even though you won't have the label on the button). There was a thread with how to photos somewhere on the forum, try searching for that.

Thanks for the reply..
No label and no tactile feel when I press it, donno if this means only the contact piece is not there or this liftgate function is completely removed from that new fob?!
I found that DIY thread but it's for 2011 which is different and @Milous confirmed it's not gonna work for 2014

Re: Liftgate release button missing - new key fob

Mopar site shows a different FOB to yours.

Remote Start, Same as Production

Re: Liftgate release button missing - new key fob

What has the dealer said, as it is clearly not correct.

They said this is the one they got from Mopar but they'll check again to find out why it's different.

Hi Sherif,
what was the final outcome on your key fob? Did the dealer replace the one without the boot button?

Yes, 10 days ago they replaced one of the two key fobs with a new one with all 5 functioning buttons. They paid for that key fob and if I want the second key fob replaced, I'll have to pay about 1/2 the price.

Re: Liftgate release button missing - new key fob

Thanks for the quick reply. May I ask how much they charged for the parts and labour. I haven't got my car yet (next week) but I'm keen on the feature in this hot weather.
