Re: Limited vs Overland

Like a few have said, it does come down to what specific options you want. The QL supspension and QDII would have been neat to have, but I was already over my budget with the Limited. CDI# was a savoir!! I would say if money is not an issue, just go for it.

I went with the Limited and added the 20" wheels 7 months later. Soon to add the heated wood wheel. (those were the only two options that i REALLY wanted from the Overland)

The cooled seats are available on the limited with the luxury package aren't they?

I will be getting a limited with the 20's, luxury package, and tow... I don't want to deal with the QL issues I have been reading about. Unless they fix it for 2012, I am staying away from an overland, I don't care if a limited loaded up is more, in a couple years, these QL's will be more to fix.. just my 2 cents..

The Limited slip is Overland only, but you can def get the V8 and QT II on the Limited and Laredo (just need to add the Off Road Adventure I for the QT II on the Laredo)

I did not get the Adaptive Cruise Control because I thought that it was not useful and it would just be more of a hassle. The main difference between them is that Saddle interior, which I got, is only available on the Overland. Also, only available on the Overland, are cooling front seats. Lastly, the 20 inch wheels are standard on the Overland and optional on the Limited. The only thing I did downgrade was the engine. My 08 had the Hemi and I loved the engine, but with gas the way it is, it was a lot to fill up 3-4 times a week. The new V6 is powerful, but a lot more fuel efficient than the V8. I now get more mpg and fill up less.
I ordered the V6 Overland. I have to have the ACC, even if I only do one road trip a year. Definitely, wanted the saddle interior, cooling seats and 20" wheels. I actually, ordered the 3.6. I tried to change it to the Hemi, after it was in D1, unfortunately it was too late. My '07 has the hemi, but I don't think you can compare old technology with new, as far as gas mileage goes. From what I've read, the new hemi gets great gas mileage, for a V8 and the MDS works from 12 to 90 mph as opposed to the '07, which is only supposed to work between 38 and 62 mph. Oh, well. Anyone looking for a Stone White/Saddle V6, with Advance Warning/Adaptive Cruise Control (it's seating in Toledo, waiting for a rail car)? I would definitely order another with the V8, just for the sound and fun factor!!!

Re: Limited vs Overland

I recently went through the same thing. I was going to get an overland, until i found out that the limited did not have the wooden steering wheel. Ive driven BMW's most of my life (nice fat leather wheels) and absolutely do not like the feel of a wooden wheel. Nor did i want the air suspension. I was almost not going to get the Jeep until i realised that the limited can did not have those two things. Didnt want the piping on the seats either --- its not a rolls or a bentley!

Anyway, so i got a loaded limited (lux, acc, 20s etc). Im glad there are choices so you can tailor as you see fit.
