Re: Limited vs Overland

I kind of agree with the idea of the Limited kind of being lost in between the Laredo X and the Overland. Really the only thing the Limited has that I would want is the memory seats. HIDs would be a plus, but not a huge deal. The Overland is just a nicer package IMHO, with the leather dash, better quality piped seats, real wood trim, the better grill trim on the exterior, and the availability of the saddle interior.

I chose the Laredo X because I didn't really want it to be too fancy, but had I not done that I would have gotten the Overland.

I wouldn't be worried about QL.

I don't know how I feel about the saddle interior. I test drove one in black and really liked the look. The white black contrast in the stitching is really nice.

Re: Limited vs Overland

if you can't decide between an Overland and a Limited, just get a Summit. Or a Laredo X. The overlapping options thing makes it tough. Didn't like the MDX when we went shopping, but they only have two choices, so it was easier to decide which one not to buy.

I don't know what all the hype is on the saddle interior. I don't think it's nice looking at all... I prefer my black leather personally. Only thing I don't like about black leather(my rsx has it) is it gets hot in the summer. But that's why I got the lux package on my limited with black leather. Cooooooled seats.....

See I had to have the 20's, luxury package and HIDs which weren't an option on the x. Plus with the lux package supposedly u get te better leather seats minus the piping which I didn't care for either. That's the beauty, jeep offers alot of options in alot of trim levels.. Alot of car makers have too many restrictions on stuff like that.. And to some the limited isn't a good option but I didn't even look at an x for the price and lack of things the limited had.. The only thing the overland has I wish my limited had is the cross hatch grill over the vertical slot grill.. But that's minor... I personally would add the summit grill to my limited if the wifey liked it.. She doesnt. So I wont hahah

what does that mean? Domestic car?

Fiat has controlling interest in Chrysler, the JGC platform is from Mercedes, V6 is made in Mexico.

Most large manufacturers these days are global enterprises. We really dont have true domestic automobile manufacturers like there were back in 1970s.

See thats the point though, the Overland and the Limited are basically the same vehicle once you add options. If the Limited had HIDs, the chrome package, the panoramic roof, and some smaller upgrades from the Laredo X, and then you moved up to the Overland to get all the luxury package stuff, 20s, etc that would make a lot more sense IMHO.

Its actually a dumb thing for Jeep IMHO because it makes it harder for them to sell whats on their lot because the vehicles are so customizable.
