Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

I have read numerous posts on here and one second I think I have everything figured out and the next, well I'm back to square one. I cannot determine if it is worth getting the Overland (Black on Black, V8, 4x4) over the Limited (Black on Black, V8, 4x4, 20" wheels). I don't think it is worth the additional cost for the safety tech (adaptive cruise) on the Overland.

I do qualify for 1% under invoice with my supplier's discount. I've decided whatever is the consensus on this post, will determine the right trim package!

If you're getting the V8 and 20's, get the Overland.

Yea, with those options there isn't much of a difference in price and you do get some additional features...but again if the difference is $1000...that's still $1000 no matter how you look at it (just throwing that number out there, not sure what the actual difference would be).

Re: Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

When I priced out a limited with Hemi and off road the fleet manager at the dealer advised me that for about the same price I should get the Overland. He was right. I got the Overland at 1% below invoice under the supplier discount. Great vehicle. Got bright silver with black interior. I own a house in the mountains and needed that Hemi. I would go with the Overland with your supplier discount.

The Advanced Warning/Adaptive Cruise Control Group (Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring System with Rear Cross Path, Forward Collision Warning System) is not standard on Overland. It's optional on both the Limited and Overland for $1,295.

RMAC, thanks for pointing that out. I had a typo, I meant I did not feel like getting the safety tech package on either the overland or limited is worth the price.

Re: Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

There is no substitute, except for the SRT8, of course.

Re: Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

No problem.

I think it depends on what you want on it. I had a similar decision to make. If the only options you want are the V8 and the 20-inch wheels, there will be about a $2,500 difference between the Limited and Overland.

I chose the Limited because I didn't really care about the features in the Luxury Group II (other than the ventilated seats, which I would have liked). The Limited was already at the top end of what I was willing to spend on the vehicle, and didn't feel like adding another $1,500 for features I didn't really want.

The Overland includes all of the items in the Luxury Group II (ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, power liftgate, upgraded Nappa leather seats with perforated inserts), plus Quadra Lift, Quadra Drive II, the stitched dash, real wood trim vs. fake wood trim, etc.).

If you want any of those features in addition to the V8 and 20s, I'd go with the Overland. If not, go with the Limited and save $2,500.

Re: Limited vs Overland. V6 or V8?

To add to my original statement. Went today to order an Overland and have to wait until February to receive it. However, they had a Black/Black Laredo 4x4 w/ Hemi, X Package, Tow Package, Navigation, 18" wheels. The are asking about $4,000 less than the Overland would cost me and they have the Laredo in stock. What are yalls thoughts?
