Long Island Area Dealer

Hello, can anybody recommend a no hassle dealer or salesman in the Long Island area? I have went to a few local dealers and have left both pissed off. I have a very busy schedule and don't have time for these games.

Good luck with that impossible request!

I'm sure you already know DON'T waste your time w/ Smithtown Jeep.... the worst of the worst.

East Hills isn't much better! Don't go there either!

Port Jeff and Browns are hit and miss depending on who you deal with and what non public dealer incentives their trying to hit. Best time to deal is at the end of the month when they can actually hit their sales quota and give better prices to those willing to negotiate.

What are you looking to buy?
I would suggest you do your homework and deal thru the internet to save time and hassles. Deal with an internet sales manager and play one dealer vs. the other for the best price...all at home on your computer.
I sent a friend to Koons in DC because they were offering the best group buy deal out there 7% below invoice w/a $500 fee....well worth it even with the flight to DC and road trip back included;

I walked out of Smithtown and the guy from Browns never called back. I'm looking for 2014 Limited with 20's and no cd player. I'm trading in a 2011 Laredo. I've had zero luck with the internet sales people, they all make you come in and play the game. Thanks for reply

If you are buying off the lot, search the inventory online, find the car you want, call and make an offer. Tell them to either accept or reject your offer. No BS required.

If you are ordering, reside what you want and what you are willing to pay. Contact three dealers, tell them "exactly" what you want and how much yo are willing to pay. Again, have them give you a yes or no answer. Give them one day to decide and politely tell them not to call unless it's a yes.

You can get this done in less time than the round trip to a dealer or two.

I built my altitude back in august on the jeep web site to what I wanted...after I got done it showed what dealers had it I chose security dodge jeep Chrysler which listed 5 of them went there and by the next week it was mine!...told them we checked out other dealers and the price "they have me" n they beat that price!

Wish I could say the same....... I tried to buy from them.....Westbury is one of the largest Jeep dealers on the east coast but they refused to compete, price wise, with some of their smaller competitors just a few miles away!

I recently had a great experience with Mel Blanco at Brown's. Great guy. Easy to deal with. No pressure. Knows his vehicles.

I was able to get 2% under invoice with Access Fund membership. The deal on my trade in was more than I thought I could actually get. It was what I wanted, just didn't expect to get it.

I was planning on going to other dealers to shop prices, but Brown's was my first and only stop. Probably could have gotten another 1% off somewhere else, but this was the closest dealership to me (except for Storm's, which apparently won't go under invoice) and the experience was surprisingly good. Well worth it.

Finance guy was great as well. Came close enough to Internet prices on MaxCare Lifetime Warranty that I was planning on getting anyway, and was able to beat my PenFed loan rate of 1.74% by 1/2%.

Great experience all around. Was not expecting that.

I got my jeep from grand prix subaru and jeep for an amazing price and no hassle salesmen. They were bought by Westbury Jeep a few years ago BUT are nothing like them i had horriable experience with them as well as Town & Country Jeep in levittown.

I bought from them in 2010 and they matched the lowest price I got elsewhere without a hassle. I negotiated price over the phone. I have not felt I was treated unfairly. Just my experience.

Had a pleasant experience with Huntington Jeep using their Commack store. Felt I was treated honestly and they quickly were willing to match a price in writing.

Town and Country was a negative experience. Westbury was problematic. I was told they had a true blue WK2, but when I went down there, none was available.

I bought my SRT from Greg Leonardo at Westbury Jeep back in Dec 09 brand new. After a little haggling we got to the price I wanted.

But overall it wasnt a bad experience. Much better than the 5 previous purchases I had at Manhattan Jeep.
