So your body shop pals concluded that your Summit was not hit but the misalignment(s) occured in manufacturing ? And followed by poor QC ?

How does your truck drive ? Is the alignment good. Any sense that the frame could be a bit off ? I can't say my "panel lines" are perfectly consistant, but they're nothing like what you're describing.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack but do let us know how this resolves....

Re: Look what I found ...

Picked it up around noon today (EST). Dealership had all paperwork ready... in and out in about 15 minutes, literally. i had my new purchase checklist (send me a PM and i'll email it to you if you want it) and completed the checklist top to bottom. There were a few things the dealership missed (nothing major, simple things like trailer hitch cover).

Iphone 4 synced up quickly. turned on pandora, came out right through speakers. nice.
programmed sat stations, fm stations, then ready to hit the road. merge onto the interstate, figure out how to turn on the adaptive cruise (it took me a while to find the sequence of button presses) set it at 81, wait for a car to catch. about 15-20 yards (i really dont know the exact distance, just a guess), bam, jeep slows. perfect. drive about 15 miles with the cruise on. how did i ever live without that feature. i would pay double for what was on the sticker for adaptive cruise. getting off interstate, no brakes, how low will it go? took me down to around 15mph before it shut off. perfect feature.
overall 50 miles summary, love the way it drives. the GC just feels "right' to me. it's hard to explain, but it's solid american car. fits me perfectly.
i'm not a big fan of the 730. the interface for the radio seems a little old school. i'm comparing this to my wife's 2011 maxima which has a great interface (same as the infiniti). i'm headed to the garage after i type this to see if i can set it up a little differently so i'll like the interface better.
so pumped about my purchase. it's a great vehicle.
