Wondering what those of you who have bought 14s think about this deal and if there's maybe more room for the dealer to move?

I think you are better of getting a Limited. The models were restructured for 2014 and they don't have the Laredo X and the Limited model took the place of it. I think if you look at the Limited you could probably get one for about the same price with more on it.

Re: Looking at a 14. Advice on the offer

If you want 5.5% below INVOICE PM me and I will send you the dealer info. I am traveling over a thousand miles to get mine, because I am getting such a great deal. More than enough savings to pay for the flight there, hotel and gas back, and after all expenses paid, still lots of $$$ left in my pocket. This is a way better deal than almost anywhere else.

I drove a very similarly equipped Limited they had on the lot. Basically everything I wanted plus some. Price was 40,xxx. However I don't want some of the Limiteds features. I don't want leather and I don't want chrome door handles/mirrors/extra cladding. I know I can change most of that but I think the Laredo is more of what I want

I don't know if he'll get a limited with Tow, Sunroof and 8.4AN for that price, but I agree. For just a little more you could get a limited with a whole bunch more of goodies. Quadra Track II, Backup Camera, Leather, Cold Climate Stuff etc.

I just think you get more for your money with a Limited then loading up a Laredo. I didn't even think about the chrome and leather but I agree those are also nice features that come with the Limited.

If you care anything about resale value it might be something to consider. I know everyone does not like chrome but I do think some adds class to it. I also think leather is the only way to go. I think cloth interior cheapens it up.

I can understand you not wanting some things. I ordered mine because I couldn't find what I wanted without a sunroof and 20" wheels. So glad I skipped both. I wouldn't mind having a manual lift gate. Chrome who cares, I'd take it either way.

I used to think I'd never want leather. Until I ordered a limited back in 2002 because I hated the steel dash on Larado. It was only like $3K more for a limited at that time. I had to order it, to get a Limited with an I6. Best move I ever made. So many little creature comforts I won't to do without now. And I'd never go back to cloth. Cloth Absorbs odor, stains easy, hard to clean. Keep in mind, most of the seat is actually Vinyl. It's just the section in the middle, under your butt and back that is leather.

Heated seats are very fast if you are concerned about cold leather.

I think a Limited with Tow, 8.4AN, SunRoof would be around $38,500

I'd do it for the backup camera alone. Oh and the Quadra-Trac II (ability to lock center diff). That was a MUST HAVE for me. I think you can add it to a Larado E.

I got my '14 limited w/AN Nav, tow pkg, single pane sun roof & 20" wheels for 1000 under dealer invoice plus the $500 bonus (rebate ended 9/14. The nav with the backup camera is a great feature. Parallel parking is a breeze with the back up camera.

I had an 03 Overland amongst other vehicles with leather, so leather isn't new to me. My issue with it is that the leather feels cheap to me.
