Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

I'm looking to buy a used GC with a hemi. Are there years or options to avoid?

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

You know how people are. Everyone that owns their year model is going to say that is the only one to have, wouldn't own a different one. Blah, blah, blah. But the truth of the no BS, the real deal, wouldn't lie for you in a minute, can't miss is that only real men would even consider buying anything else except a 2011 Overland Natural Green, 3.6 L, 5 speed with 4 LO and air ride. Anybody else is a liar or a fool I don't care who they are and that's the straight skinny. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the Garage. There are some good members here but come to me first for the only reliable info out here.

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

Do you care about body styling? What are you going to use it for? Do you want any other features in it or just care about the Hemi?

Point trying to be made is that if you want a luxury vehicle with a Hemi then a MY'15-'17 is going to be your best choice. However if you want a Hemi offroad machine that you can beat up then maybe a used '13 would suit your needs more.

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

I went from a Rubicon on 37's to a High Altitude 4x4 with a Hemi. I miss the Rubicon and would like to have both actually. Since almost 100% of the time I'm on the road, I would rather have the GC. Biggest thing I hate is it is too nice to take off road, but I know I can handle everything on road from rain to snow. It is a beautiful machine, but too nice for me. If I had to do it all over again I think I would go with a '17 TrailHawk and I still might trade the HA in for something a little more off road looking.

I would say get a 2014, 2015, or 2016 Overland 4x4 with HK sound and blind spot monitor/advanced cruise control. Best looking vehicle on the road.

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

Since I already have a Wrangler to play with off road (see sig) the GC would be used for travelling with my Wife. Navigation is high on my wish list but the more driving aids the better. As far as which version to go with, the less chrome trim the better.

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

Does the HA come with blacked out trim or did you plasti dip it?

Looks like there is no High Altitude version in Canada.

Re: Looking for opinions on which GC to buy.

Really need to only look at 14+ the 8 speed transmission is light years ahead of the old 5 speed NAG1 transmission, also the 14+ will get you the new 8.4 radio and the refresh, all reasons to not consider the 2011-2013.
