Looking to buy a slightly used 2014 5.7l Overland What should i pay?

I'm looking to buy a 2014 GC Overland with the 5.7...

There's one on ebay with 6k miles for $43k, what would you recommend price wise?

Is the 5.7 peppy in the Jeep? I used to have the 2012 SRT GC, but i sold it because of my daily commute. I'm just hoping the 5.7l isn't a total dog even with exhaust, chip, ect...

Thanks!

$43k seems high. I paid $44.1 for my '14 Overland brand new, but the only option was the hemi. Sticker was just under $50.

It's plenty peppy for an SUV. Most of the people that ride with me are impressed with the power.

You can get new ones for just a couple thousand more. I traded in my 2014 with 30k miles for 34.5 and I was pretty happy with that amount. Picked up a brand new CRD model for $48k.

On EBay, I'd be very concerned about a '14.
Might be a very nice vehicle and all that, but could also be one of the "friday jeeps" some folks here have been blessed with... if it has a Minute Maid sticker on it, run.

Seriously a new Overland/Hemi isn't that much more. It isn't an SRT by any means, but with the 8 speed it is more like effortless rather than omigod.

Sorry if I start talking about oranges in a apples conversation guys, but I just want to know if I got a good deal or not on my new 2015 JGC Limited. 12 miles on the odo, navi, full moon roof, front lights like the SRT's(led, hid, lad??) not sure but that style, black metallic, 8 speed 6 cilinder for 41K, well 45K OTT with the gap insurance included, 3 years free maintenance, and a 5 year leather/paint maintenance insurance. Did I just get slapped in the face with this purchase? Or did I get a descent deal? Consider I'm in CA, so taxes are just not fun at all. Thanx guys.

By the way. Before I decided for the 15' limited, I was a couple seconds on deciding on a 2014 overland, with 195 miles, 6 cylinder I believe, fully loaded. For 48K OTT. Just vehicle price, no gap, no other insurances. So I guess that could be a good deal you looking @ eBay. Overland tho is really nice, but too many features you don't really need, and very pricey.

Dude. Return those "insurance" policies. Waste of money.

Yeah. I thought about it, but honestly bro I just don't trust my luck anymore. Why? Simple. @ one point when I didn't have medical ins. I ended up in the ER. Almost 10grand, bought a brand new 50' Samsung no extended warranty. 1 1/2 years later takes a dump, I'm stuck with it. Bought a brand kenmore washer, 3 weeks later the soap dispenser takes another dump as well. Lucky was still under warranty. Bought a nice portable ice less cooler, and 7 months that thing went dead on me. No warranty either. And for a purchase this big, I don't really want to take a chance and be able to have sweet dreams.

Got my overland with only option being the hemi for 43k. For a used 14 I'd pay less than 40.

Based on the additional policies which are a scam you were taken to the bank and asked to empty out your pockets.

Re: Looking to buy a slightly used 2014 5.7l Overland What should i pay?

Yeah, the leather/paint maintenance coverage is undoubtedly a scam. Not saying it wouldn't cover you, but the cost relative to the benefit is grossly inflated. What may be worth looking at, if you intend to keep the vehicle forever, is Chrysler's MaximumCare coverage. I've racked up over 75,000 miles on my JGC and a couple of repairs under this extra coverage have gotten me a fair amount of the original cost back. Not something that applies to everyone, but for me it seemed to make sense.
