Like I said, the track or dragstrip is the proper place for "spirited" driving. Driving recklessly on the street doesn't make you an "enthusiast".
If your a** is puckering merging into traffic, maybe you should wait for a larger gap.
An enthusiast is responsible with how and where they use their vehicle. We understand how the public impression can harm our rights to modify and enjoy our vehicles. Tracks are a "safe" environment, no pedestrians, animals, or unsuspecting and untrained motorists. After all the public highways are not a track or personal high speed playground. Some people are out for a leisurely drive or vacation or sightseeing trip.
If you find yourself forced to drive aggressively on a regular basis, maybe you should rethink your schedule and leave a little earlier. Like I mentioned, I do track days and auto cross events regularly. There's no excuse for this kind of driving on the street. Too many legal venues are available if you just search for them.
