Thanks Paul for the DM. Reached out to Brooklyn and ready to pull the trigger if no one else comes close to it and they can find me a Black Altitude soon.
Mine was from DeCozzen in Wayne. I believe the salesman was Joe. Our ops manager makes the deals, so I wasn't involved in the haggling. I don't have the backup cam. I was actually going to add it because I was used to it with my SRX, but the visibility on this truck is really good, so I am not going to worry about it.

Re: Looking to purchase a 2015 GC Altitude in NY

For the options I listed, I am getting an offer below $37k, which beat a bunch of LI dealers.

I will contact Wantagh and DeCozzen today and see if they can beat out the pricing and let you guys know. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Definitely curious to see what you find from DeCozzen.

Re: Looking to purchase a 2015 GC Altitude in NY

Just had a terrible experience with Brooklyn JDC. If you want to save some time, avoid it. Back on the hunt for an Altitude. Will keep you guys posted.

If anyone has purchased one recently, it would be greatly appreciated if you could DM me the dealership, specs and pricing you received so I can avoid this runaround again. After this experience, I am already thinking of spending more and getting into another BMW or Audi instead. Expected a lot smoother, quicker and competitive process from Jeep.

Re: Looking to purchase a 2015 GC Altitude in NY

Just wanted some peoples take on pricing. When you guys are all mentioning pricing, are you guys factoring in the rebates or incentives that are given. I.E. When you guys say you are getting a price of 36,000, is that the actual sale price on the bill of sale, or are guys getting it for 38,000 and there is 2,000 worth of incentives/rebates bringing the price down to 36,000? Just trying to compare apples to apples. A lot of the dealers have been throwing out 'prices' but it is not one to one with another dealer. I understand you have to pay taxes on the rebates, but they always love to quote the 'price' after rebate.

Re: Looking to purchase a 2015 GC Altitude in NY

Pricing is best researched relative to invoice price less dealer discounts less factory incentives. For example, the DC group buy listed here at JG are 7 percent off invoice and available incentives/rebates are tacked on (actually "off") after that for the final price before taxes and fees. Dealers like to throw out numbers that are "off MSRP" which is not a good way to shop and price compare nor to get the best price.

One thing id recommend to you when you are comparing dealer prices is ask the dealer for a cut sheet with the out the door price. That is the exact amount you are writing the check for or getting your loan for, that is the only real number that matters. It cuts through all the crap they try to throw at you. If a dealer wont give you that he is full of shit and playing games. Nader the dealer with the dc group buy will gladly give you that info before you order, you know the exact amount you are paying long before you get there.

As far as numbers you are talking about above people here often will quote their price including all incentives, fees and everything minus tax and tags as those are both variables depending where you are.

I agree with jim about forcing dealers to talk percentage below invoice not msrp but also make sure they give you a breakout of that out the door price that you can review on your own time. You would be surprised what dealers try to slip in there, crazy fees, charging the freight price twice. One dealers 5% below invoice may not be the same as another dealers 5% below invoice. Out the door numbers are the only true apples to apples comparison when shopping dealers. Good luck.

Re: Looking to purchase a 2015 GC Altitude in NY

yah its very true each dealer is waaay different, i went to westubry jeep, the supposed biggest best jeep dealer in northeast and there showroom is big and nice and new but they gave me supposed family and friend pricing bc they messed up on my brothers srt jeep exhaust when it was on lift, so long story short they come back with this "friend and family" price and it was 430 a month, so i said ok ill think bout it, i went to a few other smaller dealers and ended up paying 353 a month, same money down same car same everything, so bottom line def take your time shopping around comparing
