Lov'n it!

Fallen Wild Peak A/T3w
http://www.trucktrend.com/how-to/whe...rossover-tire/

I've run the current ATS on several vehicles and absolutely love them!!!

I called fallen last month to try to get size info but all their phone rep knew was that some 20" variants would be shipping in January, and hit the racks in February.

I'm checking everyday.

I'm hoping to go LT285/50r20
But I'll just have to wait for true dimensions to be available.

My fortera's are doing fine....but I worry when I leave the pavement.

Just remember you need to change out the spare for a tire with the same diameter, too, if you up-size... It can be narrower so it fits under the lid, but has to be the same outside diameter. OEM is 30.6".

Re: Lov'n it!

Very true.

My plan is for when the new A/T3w tires are mounted, I will intentionally deflate them completely.

IF (big IF) they are like my previous ATS series Rocky Mountains, there will be no sidewall deformation at all, and I will have no outward indications of having zero tire-pressure. (I accidentally discovered the LT Sidewalls of the ATS series were so strong that the tires were littlerally run-flat. I took a 1500 mil road trip to and through Big Bend National Park....only to realize that one tire had 6# of air in it.)

IF (biger IF) I see no outward deformation...then I will drive around the lot (My discount tire has an adjacent dirt lot that customers...uhhhmmm..."park" in.) If I have no handling problems driving on zero-pressure tires, then I will operate under the presumption that I can "limp" to a tire place if I have a flat, and can operate without a spare.

IF (hugest IF) I have any doubt or hesitation...I will buy a skinny tire (We call them pizza cutters in the Wrangler-verse) that matches the OD of the road tires, but is trim enough to stow away in my Spare/Cargo-hold.

At least, that's the plan.

As always...everything is subject to change. And I'll shift-fire as needed.

Re: Lov'n it!

Well, today, I'm going to crack the 5K mile mark on my 2015 Summit.

However, I got mine in November of 2014...

Re: Lov'n it!

5-weeks

7,000 miles

STILL lov'n it.

Only points of slight dismay are :

a) my brakes are squeeling (possibly because of the tremendous amount of dust that I work in, (dirt roads and a decade-long drought).

b) my 8.4 uconnect gets Alzheimer occasionally and forgets that it is paired to my iphone....even while it is streaming my pandora or on a call. then I have to delete the device and re-pair.

Other than those minor inconveniences...I am ECSTATIC.

Thanks to guidance I got HERE.

If yall havent already watched them, be sure to check out the two Superbowl Jeep commercials on YouTube. Awsome tributes!

Happy Trails.
