Sounds like good news to me!

I can't speak for everyone, but mine definately has QL. I ordered a Blackberry Overland 4x4 w/ V-8, Adventure II, and 730N. Got everything I asked for at a lower than expected price and couldn't be happier. The QL is a great feature and I'm sure it will come in handy - not just to impress the neighbors.

I also ordered the engine block heater and I am impressed the way it's installed. It is wrapped into the wiring harness and obivously not just added on with wire ties.

IMO, if you are ordering an Overland, the engine block heater and Off-road Adventure package are a HUGE value at $305 MSRP!!

Re: Lower Overland Base price

If I am calculating correctly my Overland will be $740 less than what the dealer said the cost was when I ordered, plus the reduction in state tax as a result. Are dealers really lowering the price to you by that much or are they trying to keep some of it? This question would be for people who ordered there Overland back in July/August when the invoice cost was higher.

It is used in the colder areas of the country to aid with engine startup.

It is essentially a heating element that keeps the block (and the oil and coolant) from getting too cold. Cold oil doesn't want to flow, and that can mean bad things for your engine.

They're really only used in northern climates, since most places in the US just don't get that cold (Canada, on the other hand...). Diesel engines are more sensitive to low temps, so you'll see the block heaters on them in places with a more temperate climate.

Re: Lower Overland Base price

I ordered mine July 20th. Went and got it... paid what I thought was $250 over invoice. Never looked at the sticker until I got home. I just called them they are looking to see if my invoice changed. I think it did and they kept the money. I have the sales order we the agreed on price. They have to adjust if the sticker changed correct? I think They are going to have to refund me 500 or 700 bucks.

Did your window sticker msrp drop? If not then your vehicle might not hve the lower invoice. If the msrp on the window sticker for a base 4x4 overland is 41,120 + 780 for destination then your invoice is cheaper and should be 38,704 now.

I think that should be $38,704 plus $780 or $39484 total invoice. To add to the confusion some people have said their total invoice was $39,423. I don't know why they wouldn'y all be the same.

Steve I was giving him MSRP figures so he could figure out if his invoice is cheaper or not. The only way for him to tell is by looking at his window sticker. That shows MSRP and depending if it's high or the lower one would determine which invoice it should be.

But yes that figure steve quoted would be total invoice if you have the lower msrp.
