Major Upset

I have an Overland on order... This week Dallas has been hit with an ICE storm, 4 days of sub freezing weather and just last night we received 5" of snow (yeah thanks for that) and I'm stuck traversing it in my front wheel drive GTI with summer performance tires!! Thank god for tiptronic shifting! I want my 4x4!!! - that is all

Re: Major Upset

How often do you even get snow and ice in Dallas?

Re: Major Upset

More often than usual the last couple of years, seems like a couple of times a month this winter. Roads have been solid ice all week here, then added 3-4" of snow today.

You will love your overland when it comes, mine is working great in this stuff. This was this morning in north dallas burbs:

Re: Major Upset

We had over a foot of snow the other day and the Overland handled it like a charm. There was a 4 foot drift right in front of the garage and she went right through it. I just wish I had a camera on it, it would have made for a great youtube video.

Re: Major Upset

I feel your pain. My Overland was scheduled to arrive at the dealership yesterday, but still haven't heard back if it made it or not. Not sure how all this N. Texas weather will affect things. Hoping things thaw out a bit today and I get a call to pick her up.
